December Family of Faith: The Sacrament of Confirmation and Advent

The Sacrament of Confirmation completes or confirms the outpouring of the Holy Spirit received at Baptism. Confirmation is not an end but a beginning! Through this Sacrament, we receive a special strength to do what all Christians are called to do, share the Good News of the Gospel and make Disciples of Christ! (CCC 1285, 1286, 1303, 1306, 1319)

• Read and Practice Your Catholic Home, page 78 or 82, Spiritual Reading, in the Parent’s Guide
• Complete one activity from Lesson 5: The Sacrament of Confirmation.
• Be sure to complete the Grace Person Activity on page 95 or 104 in the Parent’s Guide; page 49 in your child’s Activity Book.

• January 1 is the Solemnity of Mary, Mother of God, and the Feast Day of Our Lady of Peace
• Sunday, January 13, immediately following 9:00 a.m. Mass in the gym, or Wednesday, January 16 (parents only), at 7:30 p.m. in the Parish Hall.
