Right to Life Information – original

RIGHT TO LIFE MINISTRY

The Right to Life Ministry is dedicated to building a Culture of Life where all lives matter… from conception to natural death! We hope to provide, herein, information on events and resources where parishioners can get involved in protecting life!

This year is particularly relevant, as we anxiously await a decision from the U.S. Supreme Court in the case: Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health Organization. A favorable ruling, which is anticipated, will overturn much of the harm done by the January 22, 1973 Roe vs Wade rulings. In 1973, science was unclear about exactly when life begins. This is no longer the case, and while not all science agree on a specific point during a pregnancy when life begins, it is clear that abortion, kills a living person.

But by overturning the Roe vs Wade decision, the Supreme Court will transfer the burden of ruling on life vs abortion, to each individual state. We in New Jersey will then face a particularly difficult challenge in protecting our unborn children from our own state legislators.

TAKE ACTION:

THE MOST IMPORTANT THING YOU CAN DO IS TO PRAY! Even if you can’t directly participate in other activities listed herein, PRAY, as often as you can, for God’s blessings to ABOLISH ABORTION.

Join the national prayer vigil at: prayfordobbs.com

Then increase your awareness and knowledge of the pro-life, as well as the pro-choice, groups…. and BOLDLY share your awareness with others!

UPOMING SPECIFIC LOCAL ACTIVITIES:
40 Days for Life [40daysforlife.com] – A grass roots vigil, praying for pregnant women to protect their unborn child, at Planned Parenthood Centers. We participate at the center in Morristown, NJ. The next vigil will begin on Ash Wednesday March 2nd and runs through Palm Sunday April 10th.

Volunteers’ sign up for a 1 hour period of prayer and can sign up for as many or as few vigils as you choose. Next month, we will list specific times when you can join with others from our parish to attend the vigil as a group.

In movie Unplanned it is noted that ‘a significant number of the women planning an abortion change their minds, when they witness people are praying in front of the abortion center’.
