Family of Faith III – November Session

Welcome to Family of Faith!

2019 – 2020 FAMILY OF FAITH CALENDAR

Our November guest speaker was Lindsay Schlegel, author of Don’t Forget to Say Thank You.  Lindsay addressed the themes of conscience, free will and sin through lessons she learned while parenting that brought her closer to God.

Our journey in life is rarely a straight line, and the choices we make can lead us closer to God or destroy our relationship with Him.  With the help of our God-given conscience, we are guided in our decisions to help us avoid sin.  God has given us free will, allowing us to freely act or not act in different circumstances throughout our life.  Forming our conscience takes effort on our part.  If we pay attention to the promptings of our conscience, we will be more inclined to make good moral choices!  The Precepts of the Catholic Church are the framework and starting points to develop our spiritual life and participate in the life of the Church.

Our ultimate happiness is found in using our will to choose what is loving and pleasing to God.
