Protecting God's Children

Thank you for your commitment to sharing your faith and talents as a volunteer. Ensuring the safety and security of our parish community is a top priority for us.

As part of our dedication to maintaining a safe environment, the Archdiocese of Newark has set forth specific guidelines that all staff and certain volunteers over the age of 18 must follow.

You can find the necessary documents below, at the parish offices, or by contacting the Rectory via email. To register for the Protecting God’s Children classes available throughout the Diocese, please use the registration link provided below. Your participation helps us create a secure and nurturing environment for all members of our community.

1.
Complete a Volunteer Application
This is the first step in becoming a volunteer.
2.
Undergo a Criminal Background Check

This is required once every five years to ensure the safety of our community and is valid for a 5-year term.

3.
Review and Sign the Code of Conduct

It’s important that all volunteers understand and agree to our standards of conduct.

4.
Participate in the Protecting God’s Children Workshop

This workshop is crucial for preparing you to create a safe environment for everyone. The certification from this workshop is valid for five years.
